Frequently asked questions

What is Reading Giving Day 2025?

The University of Reading Giving Day 2025 is a concentrated burst of fundraising activity, spread over 36 hours from 08:00 BST on Tuesday 29 April to 20:00 BST on Wednesday 30 April.

Reading Giving Day is an opportunity for all members of the Reading community to join together and collectively make a huge impact. Whether you are an alum, student, current or retired member of staff, member of the local community, or a supporter of Reading, there is a part for you to play.

Why get involved?

By getting involved, you are unlocking potential for our current and future students at Reading and helping the local community.

Make the most of the challenge gifts—you will be helping to unlock thousands of pounds of larger gifts. There is no better time to give than now!

How do I get involved?

Donate and share!

  • You can donate by clicking on the ‘donate here’ button on each cause page.
  • Sharing is caring—share the Giving Day social media posts, emails, videos, and website link within your networks, family, and friends.

The more people we reach, the more can hear our stories, and the more funds we can raise for the University of Reading.

Where will the funds go?

Your gift goes directly to the University, to whichever fund you have chosen to support:

  • Centre for Autism Wellbeing Hub
  • Scholarships
  • Henley Business School - Entrepreneurship
  • Where the Need is Greatest

Wherever you choose to give, it’s your participation that matters most.

Can I donate before the Giving Day or afterwards?

Donors can also still be named and share messages on our Donor Wall if they choose to.
