Centre for Autism Wellbeing Hub

£1,265 has been raised from 41 donors.

With your help, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of autistic young people and their families.

The Centre for Autism Wellbeing Hub launched in 2023, funded by University of Reading Alumni. The aim of the Hub is to bring together autistic children and young people, their families and professionals to co-develop and deliver neurodiversity-affirming activities that support autistic young people to lead their best lives.

While much is known about autistic distress, we know far less about what helps autistic individuals thrive—especially from their own perspectives. Thanks to donor support, the Wellbeing Hub is collaborating closely with autistic young people and their families to deepen understanding of what it truly means to live a fulfilling life as an autistic person.

The Wellbeing Hub is developing a range of activities for the local community in Reading and beyond. Supported by university placement students, the Wellbeing Hub team deliver activities such as workshops in schools for parents and teachers about anxiety.  The Wellbeing Hub also provides neurodiversity-affirming support groups for parents and programmes to help young people learn about their autism in a positive way.

The goal is to expand further, to reach and help even more autistic young people and their families. We are committed to making our activities accessible to all. Your support really will make a difference to help us continue growing and providing essential support. Please, donate today.
