Outdoor Learning Garden

£130 has been raised from 3 donors.

Our University was built on generosity, community spirit, and a commitment to creating opportunities that change lives. The Outdoor Learning Garden embodies that legacy.

This garden won't just be for university students. It is being built as a resource for the local community too, so school children and community groups can access free educational opportunities.

The Garden celebrates our role as a world-leading climate science and environmental research institution and will provide a focal point for outdoor learning activities on our campus.

The garden will serve as a hands on learning environment, where visitors can connect with nature and gain a deeper appreciation of our changing natural world.  Visitors of all ages will be able to explore themes including climate change, biodiversity, hydrology and food production, and understand how they are all interconnected at a local, national and global level.

Your support will help grow this space. A gift today will help enhance the garden environment by providing a covered teaching shelter, a wildlife pond and planting schemes. Your support will also help provide interpretation boards and learning resources for school groups to use, so that pupils can develop fieldwork skills such as habitat mapping and species identification.

Every gift will help this garden flourish. Together, we can create a welcoming space that strengthens community ties, inspires climate-conscious thinking and nurtures wellbeing.

Thank you for helping us grow a space for everyone.
