 I have an autistic son and so it is important to me that there is support and ongoing research to help those with this condition. I have been a trustee of a major charity for the disabled for 25 years in order to promote learning disability and autism awareness.

 Both our children have been students at Reading and we strongly believe that the university experience is so much more than just obtaining a degree. Hopefully this contribution will enable future students to benefit from all the extra opportunities that Reading offers. 

 Many of us owe a lot to our university - friends, loved ones, business networks, and more. Reading did so much for me, so this is a small token of gratitude.
