Reading sowed the seeds for everything: post-graduate life, business career, personal achievements for others' benefit as well as so many friends and wonderful memories. May the donorship scheme enable some of today's students walk the same path and in years to come look back with equal pleasure.

Because life can be unpredictable, and anyone might need support to start, or restart, their life and chase their passions, dreams, educationally and professionally. May these funds support those that need it most (young and adults of all ages), usually at the most difficult times in their life

The university has been a constant in my life for over 20 years. I was a student and now I work here. I met my partner here and I bring my daughter onto campus to enjoy the fantastic green space. The Outdoor Learning Garden is a fantastic idea and my daughter will enjoy it when she goes to school.

Happy to give back a little for the great foundation that the University of Reading gave me, all those years ago - what followed was a wonderful 50+ year career - dream on, current students, it's much much tougher out there now than when I was your age, but never give up hope.

It’s a great opportunity to pour into an institution that poured into me. I was fortunate to receive a partial scholarship. This is my way of providing for others you enjoy similar advantages in the pursuit of knowledge.
